Couples will leave the classes with new confidence and a deeper connection to one other, their baby, and their birth. Class size is limited for optimal learning. We offer the Birthing From Within Series in a few different formats:
We offer two levels of Birthing from Within, the Basic 12 hour series and the Comprehensive 16 hour series. As a company, we encourage expectant couples to take our comprehensive series which includes two longer more intense pain coping practices and two more modules for birth preparation covered in the extra 4 hours of class time. However, we understand that many couples cannot take classes on the weekend and we hope to serve couples who also need a smaller time and financial commitment with our Basic 12-hour series.
Classes are taught in two formats: A four-week series that meets on Sundays from 4-8 pm or an immersion with the same four classes meeting over two consecutive weekends. Each series includes 16 hours of instruction and interaction and meets at the emerge… nest, 1 Baltimore Place NW, Suite 140, Atlanta, Ga, 30308, adjacent to the Atlanta Birth Center. Your investment for this series is $335.
Our Basic 12-hour series is for couples who cannot take weekend classes or have limited time. It covers the same fundamentals as the Comprehensive series but does not explore some of the deeper coping modules. This class meets 6:30-9:30 pm over four days spanning a two-week or four-week period at the emerge… nest,1 Baltimore Place NW, Suite 140, Atlanta, Ga, 30308. Your investment for this series is $275 and your Birthing From Within mentors are Colleen Goidel CD(DONA), CPD(CAPPA) and Megan Brown.
This 7-hour/two-session series, taught by Pam and Guina, is for parents who have taken any type of childbirth preparation with a previous birth. It includes a Friday evening for the pregnant mamas only—THE RED TENT, followed on a subsequent day by a couples’ class. During the Red Tent evening, mothers will gently unwind their previous birth stories and prepare for a new birth. In the couples’ class, mothers and partners will dust off pain-coping skills and create time to focus on THIS birth and THIS baby, while learning ways to integrate the new baby into the older sibling’s life. Birthing Again is held at the emerge… nest, 1 Baltimore Place NW, Suite 140, Atlanta, Ga, 30308, adjacent to the Atlanta Birth Center. Your investment for this series is $130. Private classes include up to four modules of 3 hours each and can be scheduled and tailored to your specific needs. We encourage first-time parents to take all four modules, but we can be flexible as needed. Your investment per module is $110; the set of four modules is $440.
